No. We only recommend applying the product according to labeled instructions, as a spot between the shoulder blades. This will help to prevent accidental ingestion of the product.
We do not recommend doubling up on any flea and tick treatment as this can be dangerous to your pet. If you decide to bathe your dog with a flea and tick shampoo, we would recommend waiting the recommended time that the shampoo is active before applying the product. If you bathe your dog with a regular grooming shampoo, you can apply the product as soon as the dog’s coat is completely dry, usually about 12 hours.
No, we do not recommend using ANY other product in combination with the product as this can be dangerous to your pet. The product should be sufficient in killing fleas and ticks.
We recommend separating children and pets until the product has had a chance to dry for 24-48 hours.
Yes as this product is not intended to treat or prevent heartworm. Heartworm is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito; we would not recommend discontinuing use of heartworm medication unless instructed to do so by your veterinarian.
Once the product has dried on your pet’s skin, the application site should not appear greasy. However, if some of the product did get caught in your pet’s hair it could cause a greasy appearance. If the pet’s hair still appears greasy 48 hours after application, we would recommend using a wet washcloth or paper towel to wipe the excess product off the fur.
Yes, it is ok to use this product if you have a cat in your home. We do recommend separating your pets until the product has had a chance to dry for 24-48 hours. This will help to eliminate the chance of your cat grooming and ingesting the product off of your dog.
